Why is it that some artists experiment more than others?

When we ask the question "why," it assumes there is an answer, one answer. When we ask the question such as "how," it assumes there can be many answers, and it allows us to decide which works the best for this particular situation. Artists who don’t ask the "how" questions, have a limited way of thinking about creating something. They have a limited palette. For them, all trees are green. They have a limited style, such as believing that all trees look like a “real” tree. Change is hard for them and they aren’t very patient with those who think differently than they do. Artists who ask the "how" questions realize that there are many possibilities, glorious experimentations and explorations. Their work will be a reflection of their authentic selves and not someone else’s self.
