Portraits Express Their Own Individuality

I am finding that portraits express their own individuality along with the unique individuality of the viewer. There are several pieces I have created that have resonated with a particular viewer. The message that they felt was not the message that I felt when I titled it and worked on it. It just confirms my belief that we are all so wonderfully unique and one of a kind. It makes me say to myself, Why would I expect the message given to another to be the same as the work gives to me?" My portraits become a mirror for the viewer or creator to project oneself, and to experience a work personally is to experience the vastness of our gazes into humanity and life itself.
