“Going Home” is a relational work in the sense that the colors relate to one another, the lines relate to one another and the marks relate to one another.  They all are wildly playful in nature and spirit. They are as playful and free as a child is when dancing with the wind. The lines, marks and color relate to values that I hold dear and include in all my work.

The conceptual aspect of this work works with the deep colors in the piece.  The idea of going home is something that just about everyone can relate to.  The door off in the top right is there for those playful, dancing, happy marks to move towards or not.  The marks and the door work with each other in the entire composition.
