Announcements:

I Want to Share with You - Christine's Gallery

I want to share with you this inspiring duo, and just in time for the upcoming Easter holiday. This is a photo of an Easter Lily by William Radant and a Poem to go with the photo Kindred by Lisa Poje Angelos . These pieces will be part of the new gallery that Christine Alfery is opening called Christine's Gallery and its first exhibition is called "Artist Muse 5" Poets and artists teamed up and were each other's muses. There will be approximately 40 artists and poets pairs. It is a wonderful opportunity for Wisconsin Artists and Poets to share their works to the public on line - especially with all the art gallery closings since COVID.

With or without
The meaning you ascribe

I am a beautiful Lily flower
Like all beings, I mean to thrive

Forget not also the Lotus, nor

Orange blossom, Olive, Cedar,

Henna nor Rose
Each bringing meaning to hearts

As beautiful as your own

My Favorite Way To Spend The Day

My Favorite Way To Spend The Day

One of the things I’ve noticed over time when I am in my studio, my creative space is that I am filled with hope. I get out a piece of paper and just start playing with paint, lines, and mark making. Before long, I begin to like some of my lines, marks and colors and I think, “Perhaps this can be a different way of thinking.”

There is the feeling of something unexpected, the feeling that something will emerge from my playful, joyful, happy lines, marks and colors. There is a hope that something will emerge - something unique, always unique, always exciting. Hope gets my juices flowing. Playing around in the studio gets my juices flowing and my imagination wonderfully spontaneous and well imaginative. It is my favorite way to spend a day.

Rabbits, Renewal and Rebirth

Rabbits, Renewal and Rebirth

Rabbits represent rebirth and renewal in many cultures and in 2022, it will again be the year of the rabbit in my book. I was going to do turtles but to date turtles just aren’t doing it for me, so I returned to rabbits with the hope of renewal and rebirth for the world.

Rabbits are making me smile and laugh every time I do one. And that is what it is all about. Recently I got a Facebook message that told me that it wasn’t the Chinese year of the Rabbit but instead it was the Chinese year of the Ox.

I replied, that while I did not mean to offend him this was just part of my imagination and sense of humor – this is Christine’s Year Of The Rabbit.

Rabbits for me represent, rebirth and renewal. They are considered a lucky animal, and there are many websites talking about rabbits. So I am having fun with the rabbit this year.
