Aesthetic Moment: The Power of the Brush Stroke

Some say that the creative life is in the "idea," while others say that it is in "doing, the process."  It seems that in most instances, to me anyway, it is the very act of living, being alive and embracing every day with creative living. The creative life is not virtuosity or the fact that you want to live a creative life, but rather, it is the deep deep love of something, it is having so much love for something – be it a person, a word, an image, an idea, the land, or humanity – that all that can be done with the overflow is to create.  It is not a matter of wanting to, not a singular act of will, rather it is the fact that the creative soul simply must create. There is no other way for them to be happy.
