Silver Medallion Award (Ruth G. Rosenau). Juried National Exhibition. “Ringmasters Coat.” 2019 Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors. Old Forge, NY.
Ringmaster’s Coat – at the Circus was selected for inclusion in the 31st annual Northern National Art Competition. Our judge, Mark Steven Greenfield, said that it was a challenging process, but he was able to choose 92 works from the 409 images that were submitted. It will be another strong and varied show. We look forward to seeing the exhibit in the new gallery in the Northwoods Center at Nicolet College.
Best of Show. Regional Exhibition. “RingMasters Coat – At The Circus.” Manito Art League. Manitowish Waters, WI. “The perspective in this painting is abstract and compelling. You can feel the hum and vibrancy of the circus, combined with a vibrant depiction of the ringmaster as he controls, or ties to control the chaos. Anne Katz, judge, MAL Annual Exhibition, is the executive director of Arts Wisconsin and is nationally-known arts advocate.
