Distinction:
“Fence” has selected as a finalist in the Abstract/Experimental category of The Artist’s Magazine 33rd Annual Art Competition. The top winners and finalists are chosen by the editors of The Artists Magazine.
“Fence” just get home from the Missouri National and then went out again to the American Watercolors National. Juried in by Carolyn Lord NWS. If you look Carolyn Lord, artist, up on the web you will see that she work and my work have nothing – absolutely nothing other than they are paintings and watercolors in common yet she juried this work into the national. So the common saying oh I won’t enter that show I won’t get in because my work isn’t anything like the judges for the most part I have found isn’t a valid comment. So how does a work like this get into a national exhibition what do judges look for? And then this exhibition like many other nationals has a judge to judge the awards – completely different judge. This process seems so fair.
National Juried Exhibition. “Don’t Fence Me In.” 2016 Illinois Watercolor Society.
Judge Eric Wiegardt, signature member of the American Watercolor Society and the National Watercolor Society, juried “Don’t Fence Me In” into the Missouri International Exhibition in Springfield MO. I am a signature member of the Missouri Watercolor Society, it is an honor to be showing in this International Exhibition.
