“Road Less Traveled” was accepted into the national Aqueous USA 2017 exhibition by internationally recognized artist and juror, Mark MeHaffey. Mehaffey is a signature member of the American Watercolor Society; Dolphin Fellow, the National Watercolor Society, Watercolor USA Honor Society, the Transparent Watercolor Society of America along with 7 additional national watercolor societies. Mehaffey has won major awards in juried exhibitions internationally including the Silver Medal of Honor and the Arches Paper Co Award from the American Watercolor Society, the Grumbacher Gold Medal from Allied Artists of American to list a few. It is an honor for me to have Mark Mehaffey recognize and accept my work “Road Less Traveled” for the Aqueous USA 2017 in Kentucky and sponsored by the Kentucky Watercolor Society.

Christine Alfery is an award winning Contemporary Conceptual Artist that has been widely exhibited in museums, galleries and in corporate and private collections around the world.
Christine has a style that is uniquely her own and one that has been widely, well-received and rewarded for its’ own uniqueness and beauty. Christine’s work employs many of the techniques of the abstract expressionists, including: gestural mark making, color fields and conceptual work. Having succeeded in the art world for over 50 years, Christine continues to strive for authenticity, emphasizing the importance of an artist who is true to themselves and not the whims of market trends.
