Pileated Accepted Into Exhibition

Ms Pileated has been accepted into the 6th Biennial Wings and Water Exhibition at the River Arts Center.

Exhibit dates: Tuesday, September 5 – Friday, November 17, 2023
Venue address: | 105 9th St, Prairie du Sac, WI 53578

River Arts, Inc. invites artists from around the nation to participate in a juried exhibit depicting their definition of wings and/or water.

Luna Moth

On the edge of our cabin front door, right where the doorbell should be rested, is a beautiful, beautiful luna moth. Also called the American moon moth. How special for this moth to be at our front door and grace us with its stunning beauty.

Luna moth adults live for only about 10 days. Their sole purpose during this time is to mate and lay eggs. The eggs hatch into caterpillars which spend the next several weeks eating leaves. Once they have reached full size, the caterpillars pupate, and a few weeks later, the adult moths emerge. Online dictionary

Spiritually, the luna moth is associated with femininity, creativity, and imagination. How appropriate that this particular moth was at our front door welcoming us, our creativity and imagination.

Spirituality: Luna moths can mean spiritual growth and enlightenment. Intuition: Some cultures think Luna moths can help guide people. Healing: Luna moths can represent the body's ability to heal.
