Along the Shore Receives Award

The Manito Art League recently had it’s 58th Annual Show. This show is a show that is juried after the show is hung. The judge this year was Mary Ann Beckwith. Mary Ann Beckwith is a signature member is the American Watercolor Society, The National Watercolor Society, The Transparent Watercolor Society, and the International; Experimental Artist Society. I often see she work in the same national exhibitions I am in so it was an honor to meet her in person and talk with her during the reception to know her.
I don’t know if she knew me, or recognized my work but she did award my work, “Rocks Along The Shore” a Blue Ribbon, and made these comments about it; “ Interesting spatial division exists in this piece. The juxtaposition of complementary color gives this work energy. I was drawn to the marks, unexpected patterns and solid composition.”
I am greatly honored by the award and her words.

Lost Her
